Meta's Muse Code: cheaper coding agent, still needs a human

In brief

Meta presented Muse Code in August, a coding agent for professionals, then in October the Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full models. According to Journal du Net, the 50-dollar monthly plan would match Claude Code at finding defects in a repository. The tool has no IDE extension, no desktop or mobile app, and no cloud agents.

What it changes for an SME

If you have staff who write software, Muse Code may cut the cost of coding assistants: 5, 15, 50 or 200 dollars a month, with the strongest model only from 50 dollars. Journal du Net reports that the agent often stops for manual approval, so it cannot yet run long tasks unattended, unlike Claude Code or Codex. In a landing-page test, the visual result looked old-fashioned and weaker than Gemini 4. The 5 and 15 dollar plans do not include Muse Wonder Full.

What you can do

  • Compare what you pay today for coding assistants with Muse Code's 15 and 50 dollar plans.
  • Have a developer try the 50 dollar plan on a small internal repository and count how often it stops for approval.
  • Read Meta's terms before sending client code or personal data into the tool.
