OpenAI has launched Intelligent UI in ChatGPT. According to the company, GPT-6 can show buttons, charts, diagrams or small tools in the thread, alongside text. Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise accounts get this through GPT-6 Sol, while Free and Go accounts get GPT-6 Luna from 8 October, with no announced restriction for Europe.
According to Le Monde Informatique, Google has opened SynthID Detector to the public, in English worldwide since 7 October. You can upload an image, a video or an audio file to look for a SynthID watermark, including on content from partners such as OpenAI, NVIDIA and Kakao. The service does not systematically tell you whether a file was created by AI.
According to Google, a new Gemini agent was presented on 8 October 2026 at the Gemini at Work conference. It can gather information from Workspace email and documents, and from Microsoft 365 or Slack if it has access, while following company permissions. It is not public yet and is being tested with some companies; Google gave no release date or price.
According to an analysis by The Media Leader based on ACPM data, 40 French news brands lost 22.9% of their visits in one year. The drop follows the rollout of Google's AI summaries, though no direct causal link has been established.
Amazon has announced the availability of Claude Haiku 5.5 on Amazon Bedrock and via Claude Platform on AWS. According to Anthropic, it is the fastest and most efficient model in the Claude 5.5 family and costs around 75 percent less than Claude Haiku 4.5 for most tasks. It is built for subagents and high-volume, cost-sensitive work.
