What it changes for an SME
For an SME with 10 to 250 people, the change is mainly in junior hiring, not a cost figure in the study. According to JobTeaser, smaller organisations already mention AI almost as often as large firms. It is useful to state whether you need people who can design solutions, use them day to day, or follow governance and regulatory compliance. Junior ads still list more behavioural skills than technical ones on average.
What you can do
- Review internship, apprenticeship and first-job ads so you separate design, daily use and compliance.
- Check by role whether AI is actually needed: according to JobTeaser, rates range from 64% in digital and IT to 3% in fashion and luxury.
- Plan onboarding time: ads also mention training, governance and behavioural skills.
